About the Maserati MC20

After an absence of over 15 years, Maserati is excited to announce its latest supercar — the MC20. MC for Maserati Corse and 20 for 2020. This exhilarating new Nettuno engine, a 621 horsepower V6 with 538 lb-ft of torque. The MC20 also has the prestige of being 100% designed and assembled in Modena, Italy, and will be built at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant. Over 2,000 man-hours were spent in the Dallara Wind Tunnel and more than a thousand CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations were completed in an effort to perfect the aerodynamics of the MC20. It’s also the very first Maserati to be engineered with a Carbon Fiber Monocoque for a combination of lightweight agility and strength.

In both visual and conceptual terms, there are strong similarities with the MC12, the supercar that launched the Maserati return to racing back in 2004. Despite the resemblance, the MC20 represents the beginning of an exciting new era for the Maserati brand. True to its heritage, you can expect the MC20 to begin to appear on some of the most challenging race circuits all over the world. If you’re looking to get behind the wheel of the most powerful and technologically advanced supercar ever produced by Maserati, our team at Joe Rizza Maserati is here to help turn your dreams into a reality.

What the Critics Say

“The MC20 is a marriage of artistic design and aerodynamic sensibilities, and Maserati thoughtfully color-coded those different elements. The parts of the car that are white? That’s where the designers made the final call. The darker parts along the bottom? All driven by efficiency and performance.”

“While the MC20 is certainly not a stripped-out, track rat of a car, it conceals its technology remarkably well. Its interior is refreshingly simple and driver-oriented, and every component has a purpose. It wears leather, Alcantara and bare carbon fiber in Maserati’s press images, but other configurations will be available.”

Maserati MC20 Features

Maserati MC20 Nettuno Engine

Race-Winning Performance

As the focal point of any supercar, the blistering performance of the Maserati MC20 comes in the form of the bespoke Nettuno engine. Protected by an assortment of international patents, the Nettuno is designed with a unique V90° architecture for this 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. The end result is a total of 621 horsepower with 538 lb-ft of torque, allowing the MC20 to achieve a 0-60 time of less than 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 202 MPH.

Thanks to its innovative Carbon Fiber Monocoque body construction, the MC20 weighs just 3,306 pounds and boasts a best-in-class power to weight ratio of 5.3 pounds/hp. Drivers can choose from four individual drive modes (GT, Wet, Sport, and Corsa) to prioritize certain performance characteristics of their MC20. Marking the Maserati return to racing, look for the MC20 to capture podium finishes on some of the world’s most difficult race circuits.

Maserati MC20 Butterfly Doors

Stunning Design

Meticulously crafted to achieve a visual connection between aerodynamics and beauty, the striking exterior appearance of the Maserati MC20 is a functional work of art. Designers from the Maserati Style Center incorporated data from thousands of hours of wind tunnel testing to achieve an impressive coefficient of drag, measuring less than 0.38 CX. Its distinctive butterfly doors enhance aerodynamics while offering the best access in and out of the cabin. More than a thousand CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations were involved in crafting the sleek profile of the MC20. Highlights of striking exterior color choices for the MC20 include Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma, and Grigio Mistero. Each color is exclusive to the MC20 and pays tribute to the rich legacy of Maserati racing vehicles of years past.

Maserati MC20 Interior

Driver-Oriented Cockpit

Inside the interior of the Maserati MC20, the driver is placed at the center of the action. Controls are ergonomically positioned within easy reach, in an effort to make driving the primary focus. There are two 10 inch screens: one for the instrument cluster and the other for the Maserati Multimedia System (MIA). The Maserati Connect program provides drivers with access to a full range of connectivity services such as connected navigation, Alexa compatibility, and a Wifi Hotspot. Authentic carbon fiber lines the center console and genuine Italian leather and Alcantara upholstery are available on key touchpoints and seating surfaces. The minimalist layout of the interior provides little distraction from the exhilaration you’ll feel from the driver’s seat. Instead, all components surround the driver with luxurious comfort and instantaneous connection to their favorite multimedia amenities.
